Caerel Stamps was established in premises in the centre of Carlisle, Cumbria during the summer of 1967.

The main business was, and still is, the buying and selling of postage stamps through our retail shop and the subsidiary company Cumbria Philatelic Auctions who hold regular public stamp auctions each quarter.

Today Caerel Stamps are the premier stamp dealers in the N.N.W. of England.

Concentrating on the stamps of Great Britain, Commonwealth and France – mainly natural history thematic subjects covering over twenty two subjects with ornithological issues being a speciality subject.

A good all round range of various collectors’ stamps are also available along with old postcards, stamp albums, stamp catalogues and accessories for beginner and experts alike.

Collectors are welcomed at our premises each week from Tuesday to Friday between 10.00am and 4.30pm and on Saturdays between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

We recommend that specialist collectors contact us in advance - much of our stock is held off site for security reasons.
